Minerva Falls take the stage with Irish rock band ‘The Answer’

The mood is said to be electric in the Minerva Falls camp this week as news has broken that they will be supporting Irish Rock band ‘The Answer’ with Guitarist A.D saying “I’ve been a fan of these guys for a while now and it’s gonna be awesome sharing the stage with these legends”.

This high profile gig comes as a triumph for the band proving what we knew all along – the world is ready for Minerva Falls!

Highly acclaimed rock band ‘The Answer’ have some remarkable credentials of their own, joining AC/DC on their 2 year tour as chief support act in 2008 – playing at some of the world’s greatest venues – including London’s 02 Arena in 2009.

Their latest singles include’ Spectacular’ (Naughty Video),‘On and on‘ and ‘New Horizon‘ adding to their growing collection of renowned songs such as:

• Never Too Late
• Highwater or Hell
• The Doctor
• Comfort Zone

This ain’t sweet rock!

It’s time to swap out the seaside (candy) rock for the real thing. The Minerva Falls rockers from Southend-on-Sea are living the dream as their aspirations for world domination continue into 2014.

The release of their first single ‘C.L.M’ towards the end of last year paved the way for their album ‘Death in the afternoon’ that has been pleasantly received.

With influences like Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera, Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine, the guys have bred a whole new sound with their mixture of metal and rock with a blues element.

Ross Martins distinctive and commanding voice was undoubtedly conceived solely for rock purposes and his energetic stage performances always leave the crowd wanting more – making Minerva Falls a must see band for 2014.

The guys have been around a while forming in 2009. Since then they have struggled with a succession of different drummers, but with the recent arrival of the fresh new talent Aaron Hickey, the 5 piece line-up are set to explode on to the rock and metal scene.

The video for C.L.M is set in a disused farm and has sadistic overtones with a twist! It features model Juliette October and the great Peter Carey and can be viewed on YouTube November 11.

Since the release of their album the guys have enjoyed playing some local gigs at Chinnerys and the Railway hotel in preparation for their upcoming tour in 2014. They have had appearances on Krystal radio and Phoenix FM with interviews and some memorable covers.

The next tour date is February 22^nd in Basildon at the Edge bar and restaurant and is set to be so electric, it should have the hairs on the back of your neck standing to attention, ready to salute the guys as they come to blow your mind!

Friday night’s gig rocks Southend on Sea

The guys have announced some more tour dates for 2014 including venues such as The Borough Hotel, The Edge and The Green Room. 

The dates have been announced just days before the bands debut album ‘Death in the afternoon’ is released this Friday. 

If you haven’t made plans for Friday night yet, then look no further. The album launch party is at Chinnerys night club in Southend on Sea at 7.30pm.

Minerva Falls release long awaited music video

Southend rockers Minerva Falls are poised for the release of the bands first music video for their brand new single ‘C.L.M.’ Front man Ross saying “It’s been a long time coming and we are looking forward to blowing peoples’ minds with our latest offering”

C.L.M can be seen on YouTube from the November 11 and is available to buy from Amazon & ITunes now.

The single is the first from their long awaited debut album ‘Death in the Afternoon’ which is due to be released on Friday December 13. The launch party for the release will be at Chinnerys in Southend-On-Sea and is expected to draw a big crowd.
